EUROPEANA SPORT WORKSHOPS 01 & 07 April 2021 - Online
Copyright in the aggregation of sports content & Copyright in the user contribution of sports content
In the framework of the Europeana Sport project, Michael Culture is co-organising with Europeana Initiative two online workshops about Copyright and sports related data.
The first one, "Copyright in the aggregation of sports content" will be on Thursday 1 April (10:30 - 12:00 CET). During this workshop, we will explore the principles that guide how to deal with copyright when sharing data with Europeana, and we'll put them into practice. The focus will particularly be on sports-related material.
The second one, "Copyright in the user contribution of sports content" will be on Wednesday 7 April (10:30 - 12:00 CET) and will focus on collection days and use of sport material on social media. During this workshop, we will explore the copyright considerations of sharing data with Europeana gathered through collection days. Unlike the first workshop, this one will have a strong focus on the Terms for User Contributions that need to be respected in this framework. By working with examples of sports-related materials, we will put these principles into practice.
The two workshops are open to the Europeana Sport project partners and other institutions interested in aggregation of online sport collections. If you are interested in participating and learning about legal aspects of working with sport heritage, we strongly encourage you to register to both workshops.
